MARCIA WARE

Marcia has kept herself busy in the world of Christian radio; co-hosting the award-winning Marcia and Jeff Morning Show on the WAY-FM Radio Network.

Marcia’s musical background might be familiar to some; she has been part of Grooters and Beal’s Rock Vespers for the better part of the past two decades. She has made concert appearances at Carnegie Hall, The House of Blues in Chicago, and the Grand Ol’ Opry in Nashville. She has provided background vocals for artists such as country stars Lorrie Morgan and Pam Tillis, rock legend Peter Frampton, gospel greats Bill and Gloria Gaither, soul stars Mary Wilson of the Supremes and Chaka Khan, and was a featured vocalist with Motown’s original studio musicians, The Funk Brothers.

An aspiring actress, she has appeared in several episodes of the third season of the ABC drama, Nashville playing…surprise, surprise…a background singer.

Marcia is also a published author-her first literary effort, Maggie’s Song/Maggie’s Refrain, is a two part work of fiction that has been hailed as a “clean, contemporary romantic novel” taking you inside one woman’s struggle with issues of friendship, identity, faith, and love.

Marcia counts first among her many passions her relationship with her Savior; as well as time spent with her family and her amazing boyfriend David, songwriting, travel, harmonizing with the radio, good food, endless games of Candy Crush on her smartpohone, and Daniel Day-Lewis movies.

Despite her love of the area, however, she apologetically holds fast to her love of Ohio State Buckeyes football (don’t hold that against her!)
