Tune in as Wally brings a wonderfully odd perspective to everything he does!

On his time at 99x, Wally says, “I know what it’s like to live in the real world and have your faith tested every day. The fact is that most people don’t work in a “ministry” environment - but in a place where other people don’t understand their values or what they believe. I can relate to that. I also know what it’s like to be less than perfect in that world. At 99x there were definitely days I stumbled more than I stood and that’s the thing people who listen to Christian radio need to hear.”

Previously, Wally ruled the airwaves with kids as the much-loved “Zippy” on Radio Disney’s flagship afternoon drive show based in L.A. “What I originally thought of as sort of a career diversion turned out to be a blessing in disguise. I relearned how to do radio there [Disney] and how to still be creative and funny within boundaries.”

Wally on his role with Total Axxess, “I want to raise the bar and continue to help change people’s perception of Christian radio. This show will not sound like any other show in this format. For me it’s always about being real… letting people see not only the good but the bad as well. That’s what people relate to. I like the people who when they hear the Bible verse “let he who is without sin cast the first stone,” look for cover, instead of a rock. Those are the people who will love this show. I am excited about hosting Total Axxess because I feel I am finally where I am supposed to be. I am here because I truly want to be here. I turned down other job offers that might have made more sense on paper, and I’m confident this is the best decision I have made in a long time. I’ve seen first-hand how God works when you let him.”
